It's not "All how you raise 'em"

People always comment on my blog and tell me how bad Pit Bulls are not born, they are made.
I used to believe that, just like you, until my own snuggly loveable pitty turned, as the majority of them will, eventually.

To those imbeciles, all I have to say is read on, and hopefully learn something in the process!

All of these people USED to think the same thing YOU think.
Hell, I even thought the same thing until my own PITBULL started killing other animals and then tried to turn on me in what I can only describe in an enraged, frenzied, bloodthirsty state of mind; like when Pirahnas attack!

ALL of these loving family Pitbulls turned, something their owners thought they would never do! Don't be a fool and let attacks like these happen to you!

PIT BULL TURNS ON IT'S OWNER
Evansville police shot and killed a pit bull late Thursday night after the dog attacked its owner.

According to Officer Tyrone Wood, the incident occurred at 409 E. Eichel Ave. around 11:30 p.m.

Wood said when police arrived, in response to a 911 call, the living room floor was covered in blood, the dog was ripping the arm of owner Tony Burden, 24, and a woman identified as Burden’s wife, Miriam Engelhardt, was screaming “He won’t let go” and hitting the dog, Brutis, with an aluminum bat.

This is just a small portion of very sad attacks that have really happened to people by Pitbulls that were part of the family. These dogs were trusted, and loved, and look what they did.

Don't let this happen to you!
If you have a Pit Bull, you should know that this can and probably will happen to you!
My own experience in owning a Pitbull is a prime example of why these animals are not fit to live in society.

  1. An amazing post that is too often understated.

By the way, I think you may enjoy this article I've written. http://naturalpitbull.blogspot.com/2010/10/humane-society-now-against-bsl_26.html

Even if it's just one person that is persuaded into recognizing a deadly truth, all our efforts will have been worth it.

  3. Thanks. My computer was down for months. I could approve comments through my phone but not write a blog.
    I'm back now :)
Going to check out your blog in a minute, but first I'm going to do a quick check and see what mayhem the pitties have caused since I've been gone

  5. Yeah, these owners must have trained their pitties to attack them and their loved ones...because a pittie only wants to please its owner, right?

I thank you for tracking pit bull attacks. there are some other sites that track the fatal attacks, but there are so many non-fatal but horrendous maulings that don't get blogged.

Its not about hating - its about looking at the evidence and coming to conclusions.

    Thanks for showing the pattern...

  6. well, obviously all of these people must have wandered into the abused un-neutered dog's chain spot because dogs raised correctly never do this.

  7. Once again I will say this; you can breed out the bad genetics in Pit Bulls it can be done. Use your brains people God gave them to us for a reason. He created the ancestors of the dogs that help create the Pit Bull type dogs. So I guess you’re all going to blame God for Pit Bull types now right? You know what makes a dog crazy? Over breeding, lack of socialization and failure to take action against bad behavior. Take for example the Dalmatian, they used to be such wonderful dogs, now they all have mental and physical problems. Why is this? Because when people saw 101 Dalmatians they all wanted those black spotted dogs. This led to backyard breeders breeding dogs for looks rather than soundness, health and temper, many well known breeders will use inbreeding to make better looking dogs and then there are the people who breed unhealthy dogs together just for looks as well. That is how you mess up a perfect breed of dog. But breeding out bad traits in a breed can be done, they did it with the Bull Dogs. Bull Dogs are known today as the short, stocky, lumbering happy couch potatoes. However years ago they were bred for the same thing as Pit Bull types were bred for; fighting. But with proper selection and careful steps they bred out the aggressive traits in Bull Dogs and now they can be family pets. This is an example of a human being using their brain to create a solution. It’s not that hard is it?

  8. I recently found out that a certain type of Pit Bull isn't really all that trustworthy. Red Nose Pit Bulls are from what I learned unpredictable. I asked a woman who adopted two Pit Bulls a Blue Nose and a Red Nose and she had to give the Red Nose up because she kept trying to attack the more laid back Blue Nose. She said if you want to get a Pit Bull whatever you do not get a Red Nose. I did some research and found out that Red Nose Pit Bulls were from a predominant fighting line. So far the other dogs are easy going like Pit Bulls are supposed to be. Also and this id for everyone try to learn the difference between back yard breeders and responsible show dog breeders. Also I found out that a lot of Pit Bull attacks were misreported, they were actually caused by Cane Corsos, Boxers, Presa Canario, Dogo Argentinos and mixes of these types.

  9. All pit bulls are from a fighting line, princess. It's what the breed was created to do. Sure, maybe red nosed pits are even bigger bastards. So what?

  10. Seems to me like you guys are the ignorant ones!I LOVE MY PITBULL and would not trade him for the world!! Yes it has a lot to do in how you raise them!!!! Grow up people! There are more dogs out there than just the pitbull who attack everyday. The media is the one to blame on how they only want to show the bad side of pitbulls. Do some serious research people on the history of these amazing animals. Its MAN who has made them what they are today. Not in their blood, more like in MANS blood!!

  11. @LycanPrincess, red and blue nosed pit bulls are the same, just a lack of pigment. Kind of like why white, black, latino, and other races are of different color.

  12. I have a 6 month old baby, and the wife got a pitt mix. I can't stand the idea of this dog attacking my child. She loves the dog and will not give him up but i have heard one too many stories of the dogs all of the sudden turning. i think i may have to do a secret ops mission to eliminate the dog
